SO - 2 days ago, as I pulled into the parking lot at work, I decided I wanted to take a road trip to Montana! I have always wanted to go... and I am finally in the position to do so!
I am leaving on June 14th. The plan has been evolving... I am planning to go through Wyoming too. I want to see Old Faithful and Yellowstone and I am planning to go to Cody. First stop though is going to be the Great Falls area to see the CM Russell museum and to meet a lady that |I met through Facebook thanks to a mutual love of horses, nature and art, Donna Ridgeway.
I am planning to take a tent. I may camp, I may go to motels.... I am going to take a TON of pictures. I am picking up a zoom lens tomorrow.
Cody has a lot of places I am excited to see as well. I am so very excited to take this trip - and I will be flying solo. I feel a bit guilty for spending the cash - but I have worked hard over the last year +.... I think I deserve it.
Not only am I looking forward to the getaway - I am also hoping to inspire my creativity.
I am excited beyond words to see things that I have never seen, and go to new places. I have never driven south of Calgary - let alone driven in the USA! I admit that I am a bit nervous about the solo drive, but I am a tough girl and I can do it. I am looking forward to seeing things from the old west in Cody and the CM Russell museum is going to be amazing! Eeeeek! I am so excited!! I will be going photo CRAZY and will have a ton to share when I get back! Stay tuned for details and pictures of my adventure. I am going to take a journal and document it and share it when I get back!
